Owner and Instructor
Linda founded The Healthy Loft with the goal of bringing together a community health-minded people who are faced with real-world challenges. She infuses her teachings with down-to-earth techniques and solutions that students can use in their day-to-day lives.
As a cancer survivor, Linda has never been more enthusiastic in her lifelong commitment to healthy living; her intractable focus on physical and mental self-improvement served her well in her battle with – and victory over – this disease. During the course of her recovery, Linda learned through her yoga practice that it’s actually the small strides forward we make every day that help us walk upon our path with ease and clarity no matter what struggles or obstacles are in our way.
Linda is heavily involved in the community; she donates her time to those in need, organizes fundraisers, and helps promote local businesses. She earned her e-ryt500-hour RYT through the Yoga Alliance, received her certification in Thai Yoga Therapy at the Lotus Palm School, and is a former Vice President of the Long Island Yoga Association.
Christine is a certified 200 hour RYT instructor through the Rahini Shcool of Yoga and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She incorporated her life-long love of yoga with her passion for working with children of all levels and abilities as well as children with special needs.
Kim Battaglia is a certified yoga instructor. She completed her 500 hour training in December 2012 with the Yoga Teachers Training Institute’s program created by Mokshapriya Shakti and Marianne Mitsinikos. She has been teaching yoga in the Hatha/Vinyasa style since her 200 hour training in May of 2008. In addition, Kim has been trained in Reiki healing and continues to increase her knowledge of yoga tradition and philosophy by taking workshops and classes from other inspiring teachers.
A former ballerina, Lauren’s yoga practice began in 2005 while she was looking for a workout that combined the discipline and class setting of the dance studio she was familiar with. She was quickly pleased to discover the emotional and spiritual benefits as well and soon embarked on obtaining her teaching certificate. Lauren received her RYT 200-hour teaching certificate in 2010 from Kusala Yoga of Brooklyn. As a mom, she is particularly interested in yoga for pre- and post-natal women as well the balance found in the moments dedicated to the practice.
