Struffoli

A healthier spin on a delicious, sweet treat, this struffoli recipe will wow your fellow diners with its yummy taste and unique presentation. But what else would you expect when you combine some ingredient favorites like honey, sugar and vanilla?! MMMMmmmmmmm.

Ingredients – Cookies

4 Cups flour

1/2 cup Wesson Oil

6 Heaping Tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 Cup Sugar

1 Tsp. Vanilla

6 Eggs

Ingredients – Cookie Coating

Honey

Vanilla Extract

Nonpareils

Directions

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

Place all dry ingredients in a large bowl and sift together.

Add oil, vanilla and eggs.

Mix together until a piece of dough can be rolled like a snakeĀ – but not to thin!

Cut into little pieces about 1/4 of an inch.

Place on cookie sheet.

Bake until bottom is golden brown and top is lightly golden.

Cool completely.

Heat honey and vanilla in a saucepan.

Drop a handful of Struffoli in the honey and coat.

Remove with slotted spoon into a flat dish.

Repeat process and form a tree.

Sprinkle with nonpareils.
